  • 50 garlic peeled cloves or 5 bulbs

  • 6 cups clear chicken broth

  • A bunch of fresh herbs (thyme, parsley, bay leaf) you could also use dried herbs instead of fresh
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 cups diced stale bread

The Preparation Method

First, preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Cut off the top of the garlic bulbs or just divide the cloves and spread them over some piece of aluminum foil. Then drizzle over the olive oil and roast the garlic for one and a half hour. When it is ready, take your garlic out, and let it cool for a couple of minutes.

At the same time, you need to heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and a bit of butter in a pot. Next thing you need to do is to add onions and cook everything for around 10 minutes. When the garlic is roasted, mash it with a fork and add it into the pot. Then, you need to add the herbs and the chicken broth.

After that, you should gradually reduce the heat to low, add the bread and cook it for about 5 more minutes, or until the bread cubes soften.
