Mycoplasma Genitalium is the rare autoimmune condition which affects the muscles. Its symptoms are hidden and it could be transferred through sexual contact. Because of that, many people who have been infected with Mycoplasma are not aware of it.
The most common symptoms are vaginal bleeding, pain in the testicles, a discharge from the pen|s and pain around the genital region, especially while you’re having se%. The consequences of the not curable infection are even worse.
Doctors assumed that around 1 % of the population is infected with these bacteria. When it comes to the women, it’s mostly manifested by the irregular vaginal bleeding, infertility, painful se%, and ectopic pregnancy, while in the men, the consequences of this infection are minor.
Mycoplasma is very frequent se%ually transmitted disease, but still it’s not explored sufficiently. It is caused by the microorganisms that have features of bacteria and occur in the reproductive system and urethra.
The term Mycoplasma actually refers to the group of bacteria that includes more than 70 different species but just few of them that are present in the human body, are certainly determined to cause infection and disease in people.
According to the study that was published in 2007, this infection is caused by various cases. The bacteria Mycoplasma genitalium seems to have surpassed the gonorrhea and this infection, among the young people, has become the 3rd most common se%ually transmitted disease.
Among the adolescents who took part in the study of health in USA, it was shown that around 1 % were infected with Mycoplasma, 0,4 % with gonorrhea 4,2 % were infected with chlamydia, and 2,3 % with Trichomonas.
The latest report from the UK showed similar results. According to this report, not just the young people are in danger; the people in the middle age could also be infected. Still, the consequences of this infection are much worse.
